Oaxaca

Located in Mexico’s southern region along the Pacific coast, Oaxaca’s terrain consists of extensive valleys and mountain chains. In this state, known for its important history and culture, you’ll have the opportunity to visit various town and cities inhabited by about 16 distinct ethnic groups.

In many of those places, the indigenous people have preserved the traditions and customs of old. First you can visit the city of Oaxaca, the state capital, a colonial city with some of the nation’s most magnificent architecture.

Oaxaca is one of those cities that enjoy a privileged environment that is often warm as "Eternal Spring". 5000 ft, the city enjoys a mild climate throughout the year.
Summer and winter are usually mild. The nights are a little cooler to wear a jacket in the winter. It rains in the summer during the afternoon and night. During the months of July and August, the rain usually lasts only a couple of hours and right after the sky clears out and the sun comes out again, the air is much cleaner and the city as well.
The driest months of the year are from May to October.
